Season Finale 2011

A tremendous season with 4 Festivals is about to come to an end. We would like to invite all of you to spend the final weekend of the Winter Festival season with us and some amazing events at Royal Exhibition Building. Melbourne’s biggest open air ice rink alongside the first ever Ice Fun Track and the Ice Fun slide will be open for you to enjoy one last time.

Enjoy warm crackling fires, nestle up close and experience true Après Ski feeling with authentic Gluehwine and hot chocolate to lighten up those chilly Melbourne nights! The food and entertainment is rocking on until Sunday 4th of September.

Girl Power - Ice Hockey Show: Saturday September 6:45pm

The Melbourne Ice Women's (MIW) Team (previously known as the ‘Melbourne Dragons') are Melbourne's premier female representative ice hockey team in the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League,
This Saturday night they will be putting on awesome spectacle on the ice showcasing hardcore Girl Power. Gather your mates and grab a gluhwein or hot chockey and be there at 6:45pm!

Sk80ties Night: Saturday September 3rd, 7pm

Get your perm frizzed with your leg warmers and ice sk80s on, because this Saturday is Sk80s and we’re celebrating like it’s 1989! 80s tunes will be pumping from the Alpine Ski Hut and onto the Strepsils Cool ice rink. Prizes for best 80s dress on the night are up for grabs!If you’re Hungry Like the Wolf take a hearty alpine dinner by the fire, or Let’s Get Physical if you’re up for a Saturday night skate!Book your tickets to Sk80s this week here!

Live Music Night: Sunday September 4th, 6pm

The best live acts that have performed over the season at the Winter Festivals will be showcasing their talents in the ski hut.

The 2011 Alpine Winter Festivals offers an exciting array of gourmet winter food sensations, some dazzling action on huge openair ice skating rinks, ice skating performances, themed nights and much more. 

The Alpine Winter Festivals are open 12pm-10pm on weekdays and 10am-11pm on Saturdays and 10am-10pm on Sundays.

Entry to the event site is FREE - We highly recommend that you book ice rink tickets online in advance as they often sell out.
