The Alpine Winter Festivals in Brisbane, Sydney, Bondi and Melbourne offer a myriad of Winter delights, from the exhilarating through to the mouth-watering.
Thrill seekers can enjoy a skate on one of the country’s largest outdoor ice skating rinks, whilst food-lovers can sample delicious dishes from over 20 winter-loving countries. Foodies can choose from a bounty of gourmet food stands or wander into our amazing Alpine Ski Hut where professional chefs are cooking up a European feast just for you.
Relax with a traditional Glühwein (authentic mulled wine) at the Winter Festival’s stylish Alpine Ski Hut, which includes a heated outdoor terrace, or catch up with friends for drinks at the Alpine Bar. Feeling the cool? Warm up at the Lipton Chai Latte Lodge.
The Alpine Ski Hut
The Alpine Ski Hut is built and designed in the style of a traditional, elegant mountain chalet.
With gourmet food, fully-stocked bar, cosy woodfires and a heated outdoor terrace ready for you, the Alpine Ski Hut is the perfect place to wind down after your skate, catch up with friends, and enjoy a traditional winter feast.
The Alpine Ski Hut offers a truly unique atmosphere for your corporate event or function with a capacity of up to 250 people.

The Alpine Food
Warm up and indulge in the apres-ski delights of delicious European winter food. Delicacies from French crepes, Bavarian bratwurst, Dutch poffertjes, Swiss raclette and many more specialities from alpine regions across the globe! We also have gluhwein, German biers, as well as sweet treats to warm up your winter festival experience! The Lipton Chai Latte Lodge
Warm up after your skate with a delicious, indulgent chai latte, FREE from the Lipton Chai Latte Lodge.
The Lodge sits right on the ice rink, so you can glide on in during your skating session for a tasty time out, or drop in top up for a during your festival wandering.

Take in some breathtaking performances by Australia’s finest figure skaters, plus the country’s first ever Ice Blitz Challenge, an action-packed relay race open to anyone up for a challenge.

FunTrack (Melbourne)

A highlight of winter festivals across Europe, The FunTrack will make its Australian debut at Melbourne Winter Festival from 18 August. The FunTrack is a spectacular ice path that will connect to the Strepsils Cool ice rink and allow skaters to seamlessly glide outside the rink and through a tree-lined track. It will be an experience like skating through an enchanting forest!
In the spirit of winter adventure, skaters can complete a circuit and glide back on to the rink! Access to the FunTrack is included in all Winter Festival ice skating packages.

FunSlide (Brisbane & Bondi Bergstation)

Brisbane Winter Festivalgoers will be able to enjoy the thrills and spills of the FunSlide, a huge slide made of ice and snow.
The Winter Festival FunSlide is a massive 37m long, and both adults and kids can have a go. Grab a tube, hold on tight and get sliding!

The Winter Festival Fireplace
Feeling a bit chilly? Warm up and unwind beside our cosy fireplace inside the Alpine Ski Hut, thanks to our friends at Lopi Fireplaces.
Lopi have put together an authentic fireplace just for the festival, so snuggle up with a Glühwein in front of the fire and celebrate winter with us!

The Hills Are Alive With The Sounds of... Our Music Program

This year Winter Festival has an exciting weekly lineup of music nights on the ice and in the Alpine Ski Hut. We've got tunes for everyone from our Classic Mondays to Thursday night New German Wave, to Euro Lounge chill out time on Fridays to our leg warmer friendly Ice Sk80s Discotheque on Saturdays.
Sit back and enjoy a traditional European winter in the heart of the city, while you listen to traditional jaunts from our Winter Festival accordionist, Phillipe Wittwer, playing in Bondi and Sydney.
Exciting update: On Tuesday 2 August Swiss Yodelers will be joining us at the festival as a part of Swiss Tourism's Swiss Night event.

Ice Hockey Demonstrations

They are Sydney's answer to the Mighty Ducks are they're coming to Sydney Winter Festival!
Be awed by the skill and speed of the Some of Sydney's most talented Ice Hockey Players as they give demos at the festival!
The Sydney Bears will be here on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th at 5.50pm, 6.50pm and 7.50pm!
LCC Saints Ice Hockey Club are giving demos every Saturday and Sunday at 1.50pm, 2.50pm and 3.50pm!
